Less than 1 hour from Bordeaux (approx. 45 min.), come and enjoy a short canoe day ride on the Leyre. 

Take your time for this canoe rental in autonomy on the river. Discover the Forest gallery and its biodiversity throughout these 15 km by canoe or kayak (for a duration of about 3:30 hours of navigation) while taking your time. Take a picnic break when and where you want on this course.    

During this walk you will have to head to avoid the natural obstacles of this quiet but wild river. At the start of Saugnac, you will be calm, within a lush and verdant nature.  This large bowl of Eyre will allow you to rejuvenate, before arriving at Belin-Belit, the end of the adventure.

- Appointment at the Pont de Mesplet (GPS Coordinates: 44.492169,-0.807045), at 11:15 am

-support: signature of contracts, possible regulations, assignment of equipment,...

-Shuttle: Depending on the number of participants, you will either leave your vehicle and we will take you In charge to get you to the starting point, either you follow us to the starting point and we will reassemble the drivers to the vehicles after the activity.  

-Briefing : from 10 to 25 minutes depending on your level and knowledge of the environment.    

Topics: Positions on the boat, use of the paddle, steering techniques, rules of safety and respect for the environment, information on places of interest at the landing places.   

- Descent : You will embark on the level of the Pont de Saugnac for a descent of 15 km. For almost 11 km you will have no particular landmark, you will be plunged in the midst of the verdant nature of the Leyre and its forest gallery. Only the bridge of the Passage, at the 11th km, will tell you that you are only 3 km away from the arrival.  You will have the opportunity to picnic anywhere you like during this descent. 

- Arrival : At the Pont de Mesplet, you will land on the left bank and after a short rinse of the equipment, we load the boats on the trailers. Depending on the case, we will either reassemble the drivers to the cars while you can enjoy the sandy beach located on the right bank, or your vehicles are already there.

-The boat (canoe or kayak)

-1 water-tight tin can,

-1 flotation aid vest (which is obligatory),

- double or single paddles to choose from,

- briefing of the course and safety rules before departure,

- explanation of mania Of the boat at the place of departure,

- Transport back or forth.

Safety :

- Know how to swim and be more than 6 years old (there are no exceptions, even for children accompanied by their parents) according to the Order of 4 May 1995, 

- Keep the feet of the shoes closed for the duration of the descent,

- keep your life jacket on you,

- do not dive or jump in haste of the boat.       

Nature :

- Respect the fauna and flora (the Leyre is a river of the regional Natural Park of the Landes of Biscay protected),

- do not throw anything in the water or on the banks (if necessary we will provide you garbage bags),

- do not make a fire,

- respect the Other users of the river (fishermen, residents, other descenders...).     

Remember, the Leyre is part of the regional Natural Park of the Landes of Biscay, it is a place to preserve, to protect; Thus all forms of nuisance are to be avoided (this includes noise nuisances).        

Equipment to have (not supplied) :

- old closed shoes or slippers of river or surf or sandals,

- an outfit intended to dry quickly not holding too much water,

- a spare business,

- a wind cut,

- a hat or a cap as well as sunscreen for the sunniest days,

- a cord for glasses,

- a mosquito repellent,

- water and your picnic.
